What is England Golf?


England Golf is the governing body for amateur golf in England, responsible for developing and promoting the game at every level — from grassroots beginners to elite competitors.


With over 1,800 affiliated clubs and venues across the country, England Golf oversees the World Handicap System in England, runs national competitions, supports coaches and clubs, and works to make golf more accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone.


As an affiliated venue, The Swing Lab is now part of that network — connected to the same organisation that governs the sport at the highest level in England.

What is iGolf?


iGolf is England Golf's platform designed specifically for golfers who aren't members of a traditional golf club — giving them a legitimate route to an official Handicap Index® under the World Handicap System (WHS).


For years, having an official handicap meant joining a club. iGolf changes that.
